NetWork Kansas Welcomes Robert Wilson to its Entrepreneurship (E-) Community Partnership Team

Wichita, Kansas — Today, NetWork Kansas announced the hiring of Robert Wilson as Product Manager for Rural Entrepreneurship, Northeast Region. Wilson supports the growth of the E-Community Partnership, providing on-the-ground resources and guidance for E-Communities in Northeast Kansas.

“We are so excited to have Robert join our team,” said Janet Miller, Manager of Rural Entrepreneurship, Southeast Region. “His extensive experience working with communities will be invaluable as he works alongside our E-Community partners to build their entrepreneurial ecosystems.”

Before joining NetWork Kansas, Wilson worked for K-State Research and Extension for 18 years, providing outreach education, technical assistance, and project management services in support of multiple local leadership teams.

“NetWork Kansas is an amazing organization that plays a critical role in driving local economic development and enhancing the quality of life in so many communities throughout the state. I am honored to join an incredibly talented staff in supporting the success of E-Communities and local entrepreneurs,” Wilson said. “I look forward to building relationships with the incredible group of partners that contribute to the state’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. My previous career with K-State Research and Extension provided me with an invaluable opportunity to develop the skills and experiences that will lay the foundation for my continued work with communities.”

Wilson is a passionate lifelong learner and an advocate for community leadership development. While at K-State, Wilson contributed to a host of leadership and professional development programs for faculty and staff, as well as community leaders and local agency staff.

He earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from K-State and did graduate work in regional and community planning at K-State. Wilson has lived in Manhattan since 1998 and grew up in nearby Geary County.

“Living and working in Manhattan for the past 25 years has shown me the incredible power that entrepreneurs and small businesses have in shaping the vitality and economic growth of communities. I look forward to continuing to serve the people of Kansas in my new role with NetWork Kansas,” Wilson stated.
